FAQ

How many runners enter the race?

It is our first event here so we’ll limit the entries in year 1 to 1,500 so enter today!

How do I apply?

Enter online by clicking the online entry button on this page.

Age Limit?

Runners must be 15 or over - be aware that if youung, the course is much harder than a normal cross-country course.

My friends have received their race numbers but I haven't got mine.

Race information will be sent out from May 1st. If you haven’t got your pack by May 10th, drop us a line and we can re-issue. Any entries after May 1st will be dealt with on a daily basis.

Lost number?

Contact us immediately – info@grimchallenge.co.uk

What address to give us?

Runners often say that they've changed address since entering or that they live in a huge block of flats and their post goes missing. Why not get your number sent to your workplace if that is more secure. If you change address after entering but before the info has been sent out, please try and remember to tell us

Ill or Injured?

You should not run if ill or injured for your own safety. You cannot give your number to someone else in your place. This is for insurance reasons.

Refunds and Deferrals

Like all events, entry fees are used to hire land, equipment etc. Therefore, we do not issue refunds after entry. Entries cannot be deferred to the following year.

How fit do you need to be?

Most people entering are not serious runners but then GRIM is not a walking race either.

You should be fit enough to be able to run at least 5m on the road without stopping. That way, you will be able to walk/run GRIM without too much trouble.
What time should I arrive at the venue?

The race starts at 10:30am. You should get there at 9:30am. This will leave enough time to get parked and to use the loos.

Parking

There is only 1 entry / exit in and out of the venue and we’ll try and get you parked up as soon as possible. Post event, there might be a short queue to exit - we truly appreciate everyone's co-operation and understanding.

Results

These will be recorded and posted on the site as soon after the race as possible. Prizes are awarded on the day.

Errors

If you feel there has been an error made with the results, please contact us immediately no changes to the results will be made after 5pm on Tuesday 25th May.

Footwear

Your shoes will get wet and muddy so best not wear a brand-new white pair! No Spikes - most of the paths are too stony for them and too dangerous for other competitors when crawling under netting! Shoes with a very good grip are ideal. You will also benefit from choosing the right pair of running shoes for your training.
